Doha: Arab League Deputy Secretary-General Ambassador Ahmed bin Heli highlighted Qatar’s active role and notable positions towards regional issues, mainly the Palestinian and Syrian causes.
Bin Heli recognised Qatar’s humanitarian role in crisis-hit countries to alleviate the suffering of Yemeni and Syrian refugees, and sending relief convoys to help the people in distress.
Bin Heli also highlighted the Arab League’s role in resolving Arab crises and said the League seeks a political and peaceful solution to the Syrian issue, and recognises the legitimacy of Yemeni President Abdrabuh Mansur Hadi and the Yemeni legitimate government.
He said the Palestinian cause remains the first and main Arab issue and urged all Arab countries to join forces and unite efforts to support the Palestinian people.
