DOHA: Ooredoo Q.S.C yesterday announced that its ticker has been changed to “ORDS” from QTEL.QA with immediate effect. The company will trade as “ORDS” on the Qatar Exchange (QE), the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), and the London Stock Exchange (LSE).
The ticker symbol “ORDS” is an abbreviation of Ooredoo Q.S.C which is used to uniquely identify the company’s publicly traded shares in the stock markets.
The change in the Company’s legal name from Qatar Telecom (Qtel) Q.S.C. to Ooredoo Q.S.C was announced on June 25, 2013.
