Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Chairman of the General Authority of Customs and President of the Executive Council of the Customs Union Authority of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), HE Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Jamal, met with Secretary General of the GCC, on HE Jassim Mohammed Al Budaiwi, Sunday morning at the headquarters of the General Secretariat in Riyadh.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the latest developments in the work of the Customs Union Authority and the joint GCC customs projects.
They also discussed the requirements for completing the establishment of the Customs Union, as well as mechanisms to strengthen coordination and cooperation with relevant government entities in the member states, in a manner that supports the implementation of joint initiatives and projects and helps achieve their intended objectives.
His Excellency expressed his sincere appreciation and gratitude to the Secretary General for his continuous support of the Customs Union Authority's work and his ongoing commitment to overcoming the challenges facing GCC customs cooperation, thereby enhancing the achievement of the Customs Union's objectives within the Gulf Cooperation Council.
