PHCC marks International Nurses Day

Doha: Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) celebrated International Nurses Day, to highlight nursing services, with activities for  patients in its health centres across Qatar.
International Nurses Day is celebrated on May 12 to mark contributions nurses make to society.
This year’s celebration aimed to highlight the role of nurses in the community and recognise the distinguished and genuine work of the nursing staff of PHCC.
Dr Mariam Ali Abdulmalik, Managing Director, PHCC, said  the celebration of International Nurses Day is a real opportunity to highlight the nursing staff’s efforts and contributions to  providing superior care and improving healthcare outcomes for patients.
In a statement, Dr Abdulmalik stressed the need for everyone to continue hard work to become ambassadors of the profession in terms of providing comprehensive care for all members of the community regardless to race, age or social level.
