The first year of schooling, the most difficult thing for the parents is the feeling of leaving their child for those first few days of Kindergarten. Often, these times of separation are harder on the parent than they are on the child.
The child may be upset, but is generally pretty quickly engaged with other children and activities, whereas the parent may continue thinking about the separation for some time.
To make this journey a smooth transition for all involved, an orientation program in two sessions was conducted in the Auditorium at Birla Public school on April 1, 2019.The parents of students joining Kindergarten 1 classes for the academic year 2019-20 were invited.
The session was presided over by the Principal A P Sharma, Vice Principal-CBQED, Bhavana, KG Coordinator, Josephine and Academic Supervisors. Each Parent was given a warm welcome by the Kindergarten team.
The KG teachers presented an excellent power point presentation which explained the standard policies and practices of the school. The parents were introduced to the new thematic approach being introduced in the academic year 2019-20. Question time was arranged so that the parents could clear all their doubts before the new beginning.
A very motivating and value driven speech was given by the Principal A P Sharma who shared some of his experiences and valuable thoughts. He gave some good tips and advice on parenting for the young parents on how to give importance for each child as an individual.
