MES wins SOP Volleyball Championship

Doha: MES Indian School won the Volleyball championship in the SOP Secondary level of the School Olympic Programme organised under the aegis of Supreme Education Council at Qatar Volleyball Association on April 8 for all the Independent and expatriate schools in Qatar. In the finals, they defeated Ebn Taimia Independence School by 25-19 and 25-16.

The achievement becomes significant as MES Indian School is the only team to achieve this feat in a competition that witnessed the participation of all independent and expatriate schools. In the level two category of the same tournament, MES finished the second runner-up.

The winning team comprised Nikhil Sharma, Faham Firos, Syed Rayan, Mohamed Shihab, Rizwan, Fayaz, Mohamed Nihal, Rubaid Master Akhil Anvar, Mohmed Abrar and Dhananjay Gaurn was coached by Salim J Nadaf, teacher, Department of Physical Education MES Indian School.
