SIS honoured for 'Innovation in Pedagogical Practices' at WESA 2021

Doha: Shantiniketan Indian School Doha has been awarded for ‘Innovation in Pedagogical Practices’ for its Trademark SIS-Learn Active Learning Pedagogy at the 18th World Education Summit & Awards 2021 – The Premier Global Event on Innovation in Education.

While receiving the award on the 3D Virtual Arena Platform, President K C Abdul Latheef expressed great pleasure and appreciated the relentless hard work of SIS teachers under Principal Dr. Subhash’s leadership B. Nair for the development of the SIS-Learn Active Learning Pedagogy. 

He thanked the teachers for their hard work and the effective implementation of the 3Gs approach in school.

“This award is an accolade to our efforts in providing our children joyful learning experiences and distinctively excellent education. This award will inspire our dedicated, hard-working teachers to experiment further to develop and refine new teaching methods and strategies and tools and techniques that will benefit the teachers across the world,” said Abdul Latheef.

SIS Learn pedagogy is based on the 3Gs approach to education and emotional building blocks of effective learning developed by SIS teachers during their experiments and innovations for the last eight years. The focus of this active learning pedagogy is on inclusion, equity, and personalized instructions.
