Washington: US President Donald Trump warmly welcomed Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to the White House on Wednesday for talks on renewing their countries' close alliance.

The president was joined by First Lady Melania Trump to greet the Israeli premier and his wife Sara as they arrived just ahead of a joint news conference.
