DHAKA: Sri Lanka defeated Bangladesh by three wickets in the second and final Twenty20 international in Chittagong yesterday to win the series 2-0.
The tourists, who bowled out Bangladesh for a paltry 120, lost seven wickets before securing victory off the final ball in an exciting finish at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury stadium.
Sri Lanka, the world’s top-ranked Twenty20 side, had won the first match at the same venue on Wednesday by two runs, also off the last ball.
For visitors Sri Lanka, N Perera was the highest scorer in the tense run-chase that ended on the last ball of the match.
