Doha: Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani met Tuesday with Secretary-General of the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) HE Jurgen Stock and his accompanying delegation on the occasion of their visit to the country.
During the meeting, they discussed cooperation relations between the State of Qatar and INTERPOL. The Secretary-General praised the security readiness for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, stressing that INTERPOL will benefit from the Qatari experience in securing major events and will use it in the upcoming tournaments.
Also, they touched on important issues in police work, combating terrorism and organized crime, and cybersecurity, in addition to discussing several topics and developments of mutual interest.
