Qur’anic Botanic Garden plants trees during campaign

The Qur’anic Botanic Garden (QBG) has planted 35 trees in cooperation with the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) Qatar Chapter at Education City as part of its annual ‘Ghars’ tree planting campaign.
The event, which was held on December 9, was attended by more than 150 people and highlighted QBG’s efforts to promote sustainability in the community and to increase green spaces in Qatar. The initiative also highlights the importance of growing trees to fight climate change.Fatima Saleh Al Khulaifi, Manager of the Qur’anic Botanic Garden, said: “The ‘Ghars’ campaign exemplifies the efforts of the Qur’anic Botanic Garden and QF towards conserving Qatar’s environment through encouraging all community members to become active in tree planting.”
Through the event, QBGhas shown the importance of the ‘Ghars’ campaign in promoting the preservation of the environment.
