Qatar Charity donates electric wheelchairs in Albania

On the occasion of the International Day of the People with Special Needs, and with the participation of the Sports University in Albania, Qatar Charity distributed wheelchairs and electric wheelchairs to people with special needs in Albania, in solidarity with this group, which is in a dire need for much care and support, to realise their own existence among the society.
High-level government figures, directors of charities and media representatives attended the distribution ceremony as well as a large gathering of people with special needs' families who extended their profound thanks to Qatar Charity for this sympathetic humanitarian gesture, which would positively affect the people with special needs in Albania.
Commemorating the International Day, Shawqi Abu Saif, the Director of QC office in Albania, said that QC would like to commemorate the International Day of the people with Special Needs in practice by providing this group with the proper tools that enable it to integrate into society. He added that the office distributed 250 wheelchairs, 30 electric wheelchairs and other aids to the people with special needs.
He assured that QC strongly believes in this group's rights to feel their existence and relation to society. For his part, Albania's Minister of Labour, Baland Clausi congratulated the people with special needs on their day on behalf of the Albanian government, expressing its thanks to Qatar Charity for providing aid and relief to the Albanians in all developmental and humanitarian
fields.
