Devis Edukulathur has been elected as the President of the Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF) for the term 2016-2018, following recent polls for the Management committee Members.
ICBF is a welfare corpus managed by the community and affiliated to the Indian embassy and helps Indians in distress. It carries out welfare works with the help of the embassy and the Indian community at large through donations. The Management Committee, consisting of the elected and nominated members, has completed their takeover procedure at Embassy of India, at an official meeting chaired by R K Singh, Deputy Chief of Mission, Indian Embassy and Coordinating Officer of ICBF on December 8. .
The new committee includes PN Baburajan, Vice-President, Mahesh Gowda, General Secretary, Sameer H Moosa and T Sashikant as Joint Secretaries and Sunil Kumar as Treasurer. The newly formed committee held their first meeting on December 11, and has planned their activities.
The committee will organise “Children Awareness Workshop” – The Art of Giving on December 21, at Ashoka Hall, Indian Cultural Center (ICC) at 06.00pm. The 28th edition of ICBF Free Medical Camp for workers will be held on Friday, December 30 in co operation with Atlas Polyclinic, Near Asia Town, Industrial Area from 7am to 1pm.
