DOHA: Mohammed Mustaq’s (pictured) brilliant century failed to inspire Al Rayyan Club, who went down to Blaster Guns Club by three wickets during the QCA C Division Cricket League.

The matches are currently taking place at the West Bay Complex under the banner of the Qatar Cricket Association.

Mustaq cracked 112 not out and Mujtaba hit an unbeaten 50 as Al Rayyan amassed 192 for two in 25 overs. Amjad grabbed both the wickets.

Blaster Guns batted with both purpose and panache, before securing the win with three wickets to spare.

Asi hit 41, Sohail collected 35 and Asif put up 23 not out. Asghar and Amjad both made 23 each to lift their team to the superb victory.

Vodafone Club overcame a big scare by Hari and edged Nakilat Damen Club by five runs.

Nishaz smashed 51, Corenzo got 28, while Nitikesh chipped in with 21 as Vodafone got a challenging 163 for seven in 25 overs.

Hari led a spirited chase and cracked 81 not out but other players could not step up the momentum and their team could only  reply with 158 for six in the allotted overs. Viju also made 23.

Punjab XI posted a big nine-wicket triumph against Al Khor Club with Mohsen (three wickets and 90 not out) coming up with a stellar all-round show. Garvey Lions Club outclassed Cael XI by 103 runs as Nimshan and Janaka excelled for the winners, Al Jaber dispatched Qatar Super Kings by four wickets and HBK Club defeated CANQ by 45 runs in other matches.
