Doha: Pakistan International School-Qatar (PISQ) organised 'High-Achievers Ceremony' ' recently to honour the academic achievements of its outstanding students.
The ceremony was graced by principal of PISQ, Nargis Raza Otho, as chief guest. The programme commenced with oath-taking segment of elected Head Boy, Muhammad Ikram, and Head Girl, Eiman Iftikhar.
The award-giving segment started with students in Kindergarten Wing, who were awarded for showing outstanding results and overall behaviour during the academic year, 2019-2020. They included Inaya Tehreem from Pre-KG Lily; Rania Mohsin from Pre-KG Tulip, and Alishah Ali from Pre-KG Jasmine.
In KG-I group, Fahad Arif from KG-I Red; M. Faizan Faisal from KG-I Orange; Abdul Samad from KG-I Silver; Muhammad Ali from KG-I Purple, Maryam Abid from KG-I Maroon; Jasim Abdul Rehman from KG-I Lemon; Aiza Raees from KG-I Blue, and Rania Abid from KG-I Green were given laudatory certificates and medals.
Hania Muhammad from KG-II A; Umaima.el.Abbasi from KG-II B; Amna Afaf from KG-II C; Ayesha Shahid from KG-II D; Minal Khan from KG-II E; Mahra Akbar from KG-II F; Abiha Amjad from KG-II G, and Kaainat Ali from KG-II H were given awards for their outstanding performance throughout the academic session.
From Class 1, Maha Mazhar and Zainab Abid of 1-C shared the 3rd position; Amama from 1-F secured 2nd position and the 1st position was mutually bagged by Muhammad Saadan Khan of 1-D and Muhammad Yousuf Atif of 1-I. Among the overall position holders of Class 2, Manha Fatime from 2-C came 3rd; Muhammad Hamdan of 2-G stood 2nd and Dana Fawzi from 2-B succeeded in claiming the highest position.
In Class 3, Ayesha Mushtaq from 3-H secured 3rd position; Sarim Fazil Naqvi from 3-D came 2nd while Fajer Sajid of 3-F stood 1st. In Class 4, 3rd overall position was shared by Ahmed Hossam from 4-B and Farah Wajid from 4-H. Ayesha Rashid from 4-A stood 2nd while Maryam Ali from 4-J bagged 1st position.
Brilliant students of Senior Girls Wing took the stage next. From Class 5, Isra Rashid succeeded in getting overall 3rd position; Maheen Zahid stood 2nd while Javeria Sarfaraz bagged 1st position.
Among overall position holders of Class 6, Laiba Hina stood 1st; Dua Amir secured 2nd position, and Syeda Maryam Rizwan came 3rd. In Class 7, Ahlam Rashid was in first position. Maimoona Luqman came 2nd while 3rd position was secured by Sabah Imtiaz. Momina Ahmad, the shining star of Class 8, bagged overall 1st position; Shanza Fatima Naqvi came 2nd while Saleha Khattak secured 3rd position in all sections of Class 8.
Position holders of Boys Wing were then awarded medals and certificates for their excellent performance in the examination. In Class 5, Khalilullah from 5-A secured 3rd position; Shawaiz Tahir, another brilliant student of 5-A, stood 2nd while 1st position was bagged by Abubakar Muhammad Qureshi from 5-C. With the percentage of 97.17, Manzoor stood 1st in all sections of Class 6; Abdul Rafay stood 2nd while Muhammad Mansoor came 3rd.
In Class 7, Saif Raza Naqvi from 7-D took 3rd position; Abdul Hadi of 7-A stood 2nd and 1st position was secured by Bilal Zada, an exceptional scholar of 7-A. From Class 8, Muhammad Asjad Kamran came 3rd; Abdullah Ahsan stood 2nd while the top position in all sections of Class 8 was secured by Mirza Asad.
