Qatar stock index drops 122.95 points; market cap declines by QR6.47bn

DOHA: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index dropped 122.95 points, or 1.05 percent, on Monday when it closed at 11,534.32 points.

The market cap decreased by QR6.47bn to QR607.36bn from QR613.83bn registered Sunday.

The daily turnover decreased to QR263.14m with a volume of 7,502,731 shares from 4,182 transactions compared with QR265.01m with a volume of 6,781,604 shares from 4,197 transactions on Sunday, reports QNA.

Indices of all sectors ended in the red. Telecoms index dropped the most, down 1.81 percent to 995.7 points followed by insurance 1.56 percent to 4,516.51 points.
From the 43 companies listed on QSE shares of 40 exchanged hands today. From these, ten gained, 26 dropped and four remained unchanged.
