Mumbai: Well-known Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra residence here in Sunday morning, police sources said.
He was found hanging at his home and a domestic help alerted the police.
A team of Bandra Police has rushed to investigate and details are awaited.
Sushant, who was 34, began in television, rising to stardom in the soap Pavitra Rishta. He made his Bollywood debut in the film Kai Po Che and later starred in projects such as the MS Dhoni biopic and Chhichhore.
He was last seen in Drive opposite Jacqueline Fernandez.
Disha Salian, his former manager, passed away earlier this month after reportedly falling from her window of her friend’s residence in Mumbai’s Malad.
Sushant wrote in an Instagram story then that "It's such devastating news".
