DOHA: Minister of Public Health H E Dr Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari has been appointed as a member of Board of Governors at Sidra Medical and Research Centre.
Dr Al Kuwari is also Managing Director of Hamad Medical Corporation and has been credited with transforming HMC into an integrated academic health system that has achieved awards and international accreditations.
“With a strong patient- and family-centred focus, Sidra will be at the forefront of delivering excellent patient care to women and children of Qatar as well as being a centre for world-class research and education. I am delighted to be appointed to the board and look forward to working collaboratively with it and the wider Sidra,” said Dr Al Kuwari.
She is a visiting professor at Imperial College London and an accomplished speaker and thought leader in the healthcare industry in the region. She holds memberships of other boards in Qatar, including Joint Commission International; Middle East Advisory Council; Association of Academic Health Centers International Steering Committee and Institute of Global Health Innovation and is Chairperson of the board of Qatar Biobank.
