DOHA: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) held a lecture on finer aspects of trading in equities, bonds and treasury bills to promote market awareness among citizens and residents here.
Financial market expert Mohammed Kaddoura explained the nuances of equity markets to attendees from securities companies, the QSE said.
Kaddoura addressed a number of important topics, including the historical development of the financial market in the State of Qatar, the applicable laws regulating the brokerage activities, and the mechanisms of trading in terms of buy/sell orders, payment method, commission calculation method, and index metholdogy
He also explained the advantages of equities, bonds, treasury bills and ETFs as well as statutory measures adopted by QSE to protect investors.
