DOHA: Secondary school students who have been admitted to Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMU-Q) for the fall 2016 have learned more about the university at the Marhaba Tartans — an annual tradition to give incoming students and families a glimpse of the CMU-Q community.
Current CMU-Q students, faculty and alumni were on hand as more than 100 new students and their parents explored CMU-Q’s programmes, student life and potential career paths.
Ilker Baybars, dean and CEO of Carnegie Mellon Qatar, said:
“I would like to extend my congratulations to the students who are here tonight, the Class of 2020. Each and every one of you deserves this honor, and we are proud that you will be joining our community.”
