DOHA: Qatar Petroleum’s Dukhan Operations recently hosted a delegation of Shell officials who visited Dukhan to hold a meeting with QP officials and for a tour of Dukhan’s facilities, a press statement said yesterday.
During the meeting, many topics related to the oil and gas industry were discussed, including perspectives on training and staff development programs.
There were also discussions on operating and maintenance processes, and the possibility of exchanging experiences in this regard was explored.
Ahmad Saif Al Sulaiti, Operations Manager, Dukhan Fields, and Wael Sawan, Managing Director and Chairman of Qatar Shell, attended the meeting along with many department managers from both sides.
After the meeting, the Shell officials toured of the Dukhan Township to see the area’s facilities such as the recreational clubs and the Dukhan Learning Center. The group also visited Well No. 1, which is the one of the most important landmarks in Dukhan because it was the first well to be drilled in Qatar in the 1930s. At the end of the visit, Al Sulaiti presented a Dukhan Operations memento to Sawan and thanked them for their visit.
