Doha: The Kindergarten section at Birla Public School hosted Virtual Fiesta 2021, an Interschool competition through the virtual platform between various Indian Schools across Qatar and Oman.

A total of 13 schools participated in the event.  All the schools worked towards the common goal to win the interschool competition. The mission of Birla Public School believes in challenged based learning and has always been to provide opportunities to students to acquire necessary skills and to be competitive to face any challenges in life. The inaugural webinar was attended by chairman Gope Shahani, principal AP Sharma, vice principals, Kindergarten Headmistress

Josephine Fernandes, and heads of various departments, representatives from the participating schools, teachers, and parents.

Through this inter-school activity, the field of competition broadens. Students not only get the opportunity to compare themselves with the students of the same school but with other schools as well.

The competitions were conducted for show and tell, singing and apparel for KG 1 students while KG 2 students competed in storytelling, poem recitation, and dance. Through competitions, the students learn about the importance of teamwork, commitment to a task, cooperation, and respect for the opponent. Competitions lead to enhance valuable skills and motivate students to demonstrate their inherent talent. Every opportunity given to children will help to develop their creative skills.

It also boosts their self-esteem, motivates them to become better, and makes them mentally strong. This inter-school competition provided an opportunity to improve Inter school partnership and relations. Rolling trophy will be awarded to the school that scores the highest and the students will be awarded the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd position in each of the six categories of the event.
