Doha: Nawasi, the one of its kind equestrian, camel and falconry exhibition to be held in Qatar, is making steady strides towards achieving its vision. The unique exhibition is harnessing support of Qatar Tourism Authority and other leading partners, gathering momentum in the market and attracting a high degree of industry attention.
Nawasi was announced to the local, regional and international public last September and immediately began drawing support of equestrian, camel and falconry enthusiasts.
The exhibition will be held from May 25 to 27 at Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre.
Organisers are leading local, event, media and marketing management companies.
Siigns Projects is the marketing and management partner and Doha Media is event management partner.
Organisers said they are focusing on building partnerships and promoting the event. Siigns Projects have announced several milestones that have been rapidly achieved.
Moutaz Kamal, Managing Director, said “We are pleased to share that close to 80 percent of our exhibiting space has been earmarked by those who wanted to secure their places early.
“We have encountered an amazing level of interest in Nawasi. Among those engaging with us are interested parties from London, Germany, Brazil, the US, the GCC, Africa and the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region.
“I am also happy to say that from among those building partnerships with Nawasi are industry professionals, manufacturers and equestrian, camel and falconry enthusiasts from the UAE and Saudi Arabia. A particularly high level of regional interest places this event on its path to success.”
Ahmed Al Kafri, Manager, Siigns Projects, said they are continuing to process expressions of interest and applications for participating in the event. “Our goal is to make sure we give exhibitors with a keen interest in equestrianism, camel and falconry an opportunity to be part of Nawasi,” he said.
“These are greatly loved traditions of the region. While these fields can do with a fresh infusion of the best technology and products, we also want the event to revive love for these ancient arts.
“We are also ensuring that Nawasi is representative of all fields attached to these regional traditions,” he added.
Part of the approach has been to organise categories for exhibitors which are: Horses; camels; falcons equipment; equestrian and hunting clothing; healthcare; racing equipment; and IT solutions.”
Nawasi has signed partnership agreements with several hotels to meet the expectations of international exhibitors and visitors.
They include Four Seasons Doha, Melia, Retaj Al Rayyan, Frasers Suites, Marriott Marquis and Movenpick.
