Cairo: The State of Qatar has called for an emergency meeting of the Arab League Council at the level of permanent delegates to discuss the tragic situation in the Syrian city of Aleppo.
HE Saif Bin Muqadam Albuainain, Qatar's Ambassador to Egypt and its permanent representative to the Arab League, told Qatar News Agency (QNA) today that the permanent representative of the State of Qatar presented an urgent memo to the General Secretariat of the Arab League in which Qatar made a request to hold this meeting, adding that it is expected that this meeting will be held on Wednesday.
