Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Air Sports Committee of the Joint Special Forces is organising the 47th CISM Qatar 2025 World Military Parachuting Championship at Umm Shakhout Airport in Doha from November 15 to 23, with the participation of 320 jumpers representing 30 countries.
The participants will compete in three competitions for men and women: the four-way formation competition, the style competition, and the target landing competition.
The Supreme Organizing Committee, headed by Brigadier General Mohammed bin Zayed Al Otaibi, Chairman of the Qatar Air Sports Committee and Commander of the Joint Special Forces, has completed all arrangements and preparations for the launch of the event. The committee has mobilised all its personnel and accumulated expertise to showcase the championship at a level befitting the status and reputation of Qatar as the capital of world sports. Brigadier General Al Otaibi affirmed his welcome to all participants in the CISM World Parachuting Championships 2025, and to Doha.
He praised the record-breaking and distinguished participation of all countries, indicating that the Supreme Organising Committee has completed all arrangements and preparations to organise an exceptional event befitting Qatar’s status and the confidence of the world and the CISM family in our country’s organisational capabilities and qualifications to host major world championships.
Captain Hazza Hamad Al Attiyah, Secretary-General of the Qatar Air Sports Committee, confirmed the readiness of everyone in the committee family to organise CISM 2025, considering the championship an organisational and celebratory challenge, and everyone is confident in our organizational capabilities to showcase the event at a high level of quality and efficiency, wishing all participants success.
The participating delegations have begun arriving in Doha, and the arrival of the delegations is expected to be completed today in preparation for the anticipated challenge in the World Championship.
The first events of the championship will begin on Friday, with the holding of the technical meeting in the conference hall at Umm Shakhout Airport, led by the organisers, where all technical, organisational, and refereeing matters will be discussed, and the process of registering teams in the three competitions will begin: “Quadruple Formation,” “Style,” and “Accuracy in Reaching the Target.”
The organisers’ instructions and guidance regarding doping and other technical matters will also be listened to. Official training for the participating teams will also begin, according to programmes that include several jumps for all teams of both genders.
The Qatari national team participating in the Goal competition continues its strong training on a daily basis in preparation for taking on the global challenge, with high morale, focus and discipline, especially since the tournament is being held on its home ground and in front of its fans.
