Ivory Coast Prime Minister Daniel Kablan Duncan met yesterday with H E Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari, Cultural Adviser at the Emiri Diwan and Qatar's candidate for the director-general post at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco).
During the meeting, the Qatari candidate presented his vision to promote Unesco and stressed his keenness on ties with Africa as education and heritage there are two of Unesco's pillars. He also expressed his gratitude for the hospitality and warm reception that he received in Cote d'Ivoire and voiced aspiration to work with it and other African countries to support them in the areas of education and heritage. The Cote d'Ivoire prime minister expressed his keenness on developing bilateral relations.
