Doha: The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the twin bombings that targeted the Burj el-Barajneh, in the southern suburb of Beirut on Thursday evening, which resulted in killing and injuring a number of people.
The Foreign Ministry confirmed in a statement today that these criminal acts are contrary to all human values, and would drag the region into chaos and instability, calling on all Lebanese political leaders to protect Lebanon and its people from the consequences of this criminal act that aims at igniting sedition and dragging Lebanon into chaos and violence circle .
The Foreign Ministry in its statement reiterated Qatar's firm stance renouncing violence in all its forms and manifestations, and whatever its source and motivation.
The statement expressed sincere condolences to the families of the victims, and wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured.
