Singapore: Qatar’s Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani arrived yesterday in Singapore on a two-day official visit. The Premier and his delegation were welcomed at Changi International Airport by Singapore State Minister Dr Mohammed Malki bin Othman, Qatar’s Ambassador to Singapore Mohammed bin Ali Al Ma’adeed, Singapore’s Ambassador to Qatar Wong Cole Lyon and staff of the Qatari Embassy.
Minister meets Moroccan counterpart
Doha: Minister of Labour and Social Affairs H E Abdullah Saleh Mubarak Al Khulaifi received yesterday Moroccan Minister of Empowerment and Social Affairs Mohammad Abdul Salam Siddiqui. They discussed relations between the two countries and means of developing them in addition to reviewing a slew of other issues of mutual concern. The meeting was attended by the Moroccoan Ambassador Almakki Kwan and a number of senior officials at the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.
Attiyah returns from Poland
Doha: The Chairman of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA) H E Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah who is also President of the UN COP18, and his delegation returned to Doha yesterday from Warsaw, concluding a five-day visit to Poland. During the visit, Al Attiyah handed over Qatar’s presidency of COP19 to Poland.
Envoy to Austria takes charge
Vienna: Austrian President Heinz Fischer received the credentials of Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri as Qatar’s Ambassador to Austria. The ambassador conveyed the greetings of the Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to the Austrian president. The Austrian president assigned the Qatari diplomat with conveying his best regards to the Emir.
