MINSK: Belarus plans to raise $1.5 billion through foreign loans next year, a top finance official said.
A deputy chief of the Finance Ministry's budget policy department Oleg Selivyorstov said that the former Soviet republic will also need some $2 billion from privatizations to balance its budget, according to the Russain (RIA Novosti) News Agency.
The country's debt servicing payment next year is expected to grow by $255 million to $783 million, the official said. (QNA)
