DOHA: H E Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada, the Minister of Energy and Industry, has stressed the need for global energy producer-consumer countries bolstering their cooperation to stabilise the market in view of the growing geopolitical tensions.

Addressing the 5th Asian Ministerial Energy Roundtable and RasGas annual reception in South Korea, Dr Al  Sada noted  Asian countries have emerged as world’s key energy market. He said an easy access to accurate and transparent information regarding the energy reserves is key for an efficient market.

The market is easily vulnerable to geopolitical issues. An accurate data on energy reserves will help control the market, he said.

On the bilateral relations of Qatar and South Korea, the minister said the partnership is deep rooted and dates back to more than four decades. At the end of the roundtable, Al Sada invited the participants to the sixth meeting of the round table of Asian energy ministers at the International Energy Forum, which will be hosted by Doha in 2015.
