Doha, Qatar: Minister of Commerce and Industry, HE Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al-Thani, conducted a field visit to a number of pharmaceutical factories in the Small and Medium Industries Area, where he reviewed the progress of production operations as well as ongoing development and expansion projects.
The Minister during the visit examined the sector's adoption of modern technologies and its efforts toward innovation, highlighting the role of pharmaceutical manufacturing in supporting Qatar's industrial development and economic diversification goals.
He noted that the growth of the pharmaceutical sector reflects the broader advancement of Qatar's industrial landscape and reaffirmed the Ministry's commitment to enhancing the industrial environment and providing incentives that support investment.
The Minister added that these efforts contribute to increasing the competitiveness of national industries and align with the objectives of the Qatar National Strategy for Transformative Industries and the Third National Development Strategy.
The visit underscored the importance of strengthening local manufacturing capabilities and promoting sustainable industrial growth to reinforce Qatar's position as a regional hub for advanced industries.
