Doha: Minister of Economy and Commerce H E Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim Al Thani yesterday stressed that the initiatives launched by the Ministry during the past year were a major contribution to achieving the strategic objectives of the State.
The Minister referred in this regard to initiatives, projects and efforts being exerted in all economic and trade fields and stressed that many of these initiatives have been exemplary in many countries.
This came in a press statement by the Ministry during the annual Achievements ceremony and future plans organised by the Ministry to review the most important achievements and future projects.
Addressing the ceremony, the Minister praised the achievements made during the past year and said these stemmed from the spirit of perseverance and teamwork.
He appreciated the staff of the Ministry and their efforts for the success of initiatives and projects that have been submitted and described the staff as a ‘successful team’ that was able to maintain the Ministry’s march of progress.
The Minister also stressed the importance of the next phase of the completion of the Ministry’s projects and initiatives.
He hoped that such a spirit of teamwork, entrepreneurship and innovation would prevail among employees and build a strong and sustainable national economy.
