Pilgrims urged to take vaccinations

DOHA: The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) has urged all the citizens and residents who are planning to perform Haj and Umrah to approach the health centres for the required vaccinations.
The vaccinations aims at preventing communicable diseases including meningitis, pneumonia and seasonal flu, QNA reported.
Executive Director of the Operating Department at PHCC Dr. Samia Al Abdullah said that the health centres will provide travellers with the full routine vaccinations. They usually include diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, polio, measles, mumps, in addition to those needed for travel, such as the Meningococcal vaccination for Haj.
