New MERS-CoV case confirmed

DOHA: A 23-year-old man has been tested positive for the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Corona Virus (MERS-CoV) , the Ministry of Public Health said yesterday.

This is the third MERS-CoV case confirmed since the beginning of this year. The patient was not in contact with suspected case and is free from chronic diseases that usually cause immunity suppression, QNA reported yesterday.
He was admitted to Hamad General Hospital with common symptoms where he was tested positive for the virus. The patient is currently in stable condition and receives necessary medical care.
