Gearing up for Ramadan: Hotels set to welcome Ramadan

Local venues are getting ready for the holy month of Ramadan with a wide range of offers to enjoy iftar and sohour. 

 

Movenpick

Embracing the spirit of generosity during the holy month of Ramadan, the hotel is donating QR10 from every iftar cover to the Qatar Red Crescent Society, offering its patrons the chance to enjoy a good iftar and do a good deed at the same time.

An iftar buffet will be served every evening at the Season’s restaurant for QR140 per person. Families and groups of 10 or more as well as companies wishing to organise private iftar events can avail of special rates and tailor-made menus. 

 

W Hotel

The hotel will be transformed with a Grand Bazaar-inspired souk on the mezzanine floor and will welcome the return of the unique ‘Sultan’s Tent’ in its Great Room, where iftar and sohour will be served daily. Iftar will start at 8pm for QR200 and sohour will run from 9pm till 2am for QR270. Children under six will be served free and those below 12 will get a 50 percent discount. The price includes soft drinks, Ramadan juices, water, Arabic coffee and tea. Shisha is not included. 

W also offers the possibility of celebrating Ramadan at home for QR265 per person for a minimum of 20 guests. Discounts are available for early birds. 

 

Renaissance

During Ramadan, the Renaissance Doha will be transformed to reflect the colours, flavours and sounds of ancient Arabia with a modern twist. Families are invited to break their fast with a delicious iftar buffet combining the finest recipes and amazing treats. Interactive cooking stations and live Arabic music top off the festivities.

Located on the first floor, the Ballroom will be serving iftar from sunset to 8pm, also offering Ramadan juices, for QR195. Patrons can continue the celebration at the sohour buffet from 9pm till 1.30am, also including Ramadan juices, for QR235. 
 

Ritz-Carlton

With the sounds of exotic music and the traditional Arabic atmosphere of the souq, the Ritz tent will be located at Al Wosail grand ballroom, featuring iftar for QR195 and sohour for QR250. The Ramadan Tent will be open from sunset to 1am, with stations including a kanafa and juice maker from Morocco, a saj bread maker and an Egyptian band.

 

Grand Hyatt

At the Ramadanak tent, located in the heart of their Arabian Palace, guests can enjoy traditional Arabic buffets: iftar for QR250 and sohour for QR200 per person. In addition, attendees can witness the transformation of Biscotti into a hampers retail shop during the holy month of Ramadan. Guests can choose whichever city they prefer from a customised menu and experience its culture for prices starting from QR300. 

 

Four Seasons

Four Seasons will host Ramadan events at Al Mirqab ballroom, the biggest ballroom in this five-star hotel, with an oriental band. It will feature iftar from sunset until 7pm for QR220 and sohour from 9pm to 1am for QR270.

 

Sharq Village and Spa

Magic of Sharq Village and Spa Ramadan Tent will be open from 8.30pm to 2am at Al Dasha Ballroom with a buffet. The iftar buffet at Al Liwan will be available from sunset to 10pm and iftar at Parisa will be open until midnight.

Corporate hosts who wish to uphold the Arabic traditions of hospitality may treat customers and colleagues to a private iftar event with a tailored menu served in the Al Sonbok ballroom.  

Shisha Diwan will be available from 8pm to 2am at Al Qareb. Guests may enjoy their time after iftar and enjoy a variety of flavoured teas, along with their favourite shisha flavour.

 

Grand Heritage

Grand Heritage Doha will have offer Iftar and Sohour buffet in an oriental Ramadan tent setting, offering all Arabic specialties with live cooking stations of Ouzi, Saj and Shawarma. 

Iftar buffet will be available from sunset until 9pm and Sohour from 9.30pm to 1.00am with live entertainment. Price of Iftar and Sohour buffet at QR190 per person (including Ramadan beverages), with 50 percent off for children 6-12 years old and under-five free.
