Doha: A delegation of the State of Qatar, headed by H E Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Finance, participated in the official opening ceremony of the Annual Meetings of the Islamic Bank Group that were held in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
A number of Their Excellencies the Ministers of Economy, Planning and Finance of the Bank’s member states participated in the meetings.
Representatives of international and regional financial institutions, as well as representatives of Islamic banks and national development financing, participated in the events accompanying these meetings.
Institutions and syndicates of contractors and consultants from the member states of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.
During the meeting, the most significant issues pertaining to the Board were discussed, and the Bank’s 47 annual report for 2022 was reviewed.
On the sidelines of this participation, H E the Minister of Finance held separate bilateral meetings with H E Olimata Sarr, Minister of Economy, Planning, and Cooperation of Senegal, and Janjing Wang, Chief Executive Officer of the Multilateral Cooperation Centre for Development Financing (MCDF). The meetings also witnessed several pressing issues in economic, commercial, and related disciplines were discussed.
