Michelin launches campaign with ‘real stopping power’

Michelin yesterday announced its consumer-focused campaign with rewards and prizes. The campaign runs between May 15 and August 15, 2013. It allows customers of Michelin purchasing a set of four tyres to receive fuel vouchers worth QR75 for SUVs and QR50 for sedans. Additionally, customers will enter a raffle draw with three lucky winners driving away a brand new Mitsubishi Pajero 2013 and two Mitsubishi Lancers 2013.

Stefan Moench, General Manager, Nasser Bin Khaled and Sons, said: “As you know, every car comes with tyres, but not every tyre comes with a car. Therefore we have teamed up with QAC to kick-start a promotion with a true stopping power. Due to the climate change in the Middle East region, most consumers tend to change their tyres during the summer season. Being one of biggest tyre sellers in Qatar, Michelin gives considerable importance to passenger safety. This is the rationale we have based our entire campaign on.” 

Nasser Bin Khaled is the official agent for Michelin in Qatar since 1975. 

Ihab EI Feky, General Manager of Qatar Automobiles Company, said: “The campaign underlines the group’s commitment to add a lot of value to what we do here every day.” 

Deepak Pothula, Michelin Qatar Division Manager, said: “Michelin is one of the strongest players of our local market owing to our global leadership on many fronts. We’ve had superb results last year and we firmly believe that we shall achieve further over the upcoming months. We’re confident that our campaign will be very well received in Qatar and we can’t wait to announce the lucky winners in August.”
