The Committee of Engineers registration at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment said the fines for registration violations in 2016 amounted to QR78,000 and 19 complaints were transferred to the competent authority for investigations. The total number of grievance applications received by the committee from the engineers and consultancy offices reached 2,318. The committee said registration of one international engineering office was cancelled in the year.
The committee reactivated the electronic service for registration and application follow up of engineers and said it has registered 3,060 engineers, nine local engineering consultancy offices and one international consultancy office in the year. The committee received two complaints from Doha Municipality, 10 cases were transferred to primary disciplinary council and four to appeal disciplinary council.
Engineers can update their registration online and download the required documents and receive comments on their application.
