ACS Doha International School celebrated International Day, an opportunity to showcase the cultural diversity among its students and wider school community.
The International Day Fair took place on Thursday at the school’s premises, with 33 countries represented. Students visited different tables and ‘travelled’ with their ‘passports’; as they toured through each country, learning about special traditions and sampling traditional food.
“I would like to thank our PSO Country Representative Group (CRG) and all volunteer parents for their support; the day was a great success thanks to their efforts and devotion” commented Diane Hren, Head of School. “More than 100 parents contributed their time and expertise to create an engaging experience for students.”
One of the school’s core values is to enrich the international experience by engaging the community, bringing a sense of commonality to diversity and championing the understanding of all cultures. Every year, the school celebrates a culture awareness week with special events scheduled over five days to bridge the gap between cultures and languages and to develop hearts and minds that respect cultural differences. The Peninsula
