Doha: Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, General Manager, Cultural Village Foundation-Katara, met outgoing Peruvian Ambassador Julio Florian.
They discussed cultural cooperation between Qatar and Peru and cultural events hosted by Katara in the past five years.
Dr. Al Sulaiti wished the ambassador success in his upcoming mission and said Katara constantly strives to extend bridges of communication among peoples and be open to different cultures and civilisations.
“During the past five years, Katara hosted significant cultural events and exhibitions that shed light on the culture and civilisation of countries of Latin America in general and Peru in specific.
“Last month, Katara and the Peruvian embassy organised a photo exhibition of Qhapag Nan that attracted a significant turnout of visitors,” Dr Al Sulaiti said.
Florian extended gratitude and appreciation to Katara for efforts to afford peoples glimpse on civilisations and cultures of others, specifically the culture of Peru.
