DOHA: The Gulf Safety Forum 2016 will be held in Doha on October 30 and 31.
Organised by Euro Petroleum Consultants (EPC) and the Gulf Organisation for Industrial Consulting (GOIC), the conference will bring together key industry players from across the region to discuss strategies for continuous improvement of safety procedures and share successful case studies and roadmaps towards achieving the goal of zero accidents.
International safety experts and providers of safety tools and technologies will present the latest methodologies which can assist companies in achieving these goals. Representatives will gather from diverse industry sectors, including oil, gas, petrochemicals, construction, manufacturing and transportation.
“The forum provides a unique arena for key industry stakeholders to present their experiences and share frontline developments for the benefit of all participants.
“It is designed to share the latest strategies for driving safety excellence with a blend of international and local expertise,” said Abdulaziz bin Hamad Al Ageel, Secretary-General, GOIC.
Main topics to be discussed at the conference include: The regulatory environment; construction and safety in the workplace; improving workforce competence; making safety communications more vital; and how to develop and sustain process safety leadership.
Paul Stanley Williams, Senior Manager, Health and Safety, Qatar Rail, will also attend the forum.
