Doha, Qatar: Qatar Airways Group mourns the passing of His Highness The Father Amir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani on Sunday, July 12, 2026.
The group said this in a social media post, writing, "Qatar Airways Group mourns, with profound sorrow, the passing of His Highness The Father Amir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani."
It further said that His Highness had dedicated his life to the service of his country, adding, "His vision transformed this nation, and his legacy will endure for generations to come."
The national airline also extended its deepest condolences to the people of Qatar and joined them in mourning his loss.
