Qatar Stock Exchange index gains 15.20 points

DOHA: Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index gained 15.20 points, or 0.13 percent, when the bourse closed Sunday at 11,896.02 points.

The market capitalisation increased to QR632.78bn compared with QR632.15bn registered Thursday.

The trade turnover today dropped to QR113.09m with a volume of 2,430,765 shares from 1,908 transactions compared with QR298.73m with a volume of 5,915,804 shares from 2,616 transactions on Thursday.

Indices of four sectors ended in the green and three in the red today.
Real estate index gained the most, up 0.52 percent to 2,701.01 points.
Telecoms index declined 0.73 percent to 1,152.33 points while insurance went down 0.23 percent to 4,743.63 points.

QSE Total Return Index gained 0.13 percent (18,490.65 points). QSE Al Rayan Islamic Index gained 0.18 percent (4,612.63 points) and QSE All Share Index gained 0.09 percent (3,183.83 points).

Investors traded shares of 41 from the 43 QSE-listed companies today. From these shares of 22 gained, 16 declined and three remained unchanged.
