DOHA: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has carried out inspection campaigns against consumer goods outlets and commercial activities in different areas to ensure that suppliers are committed to their duties as stipulated in the Law No. 8 of 2008 concerned to consumer protection. The campaigns covered more than 1,300 shops, including  restaurants, bakeries, cafeterias, vegetable and fruit shops, electrical appliances outlets, shops offering promotions in Ramadan, fish outlets and others
The campaigns are part of the Ministry’s initiative to monitor prices and take action against irregularities and violations during Ramadan.
