Qatar Primary Materials Company (QPMC) CEO Eisa Al Hammadi revealed that the company is planning to start operating the cement silo plant in the first quarter of 2017 at a total cost of QR 445m.
Speaking during a press conference about the company's achievements, Al Hammadi said the plant, which is based in Mesaieed Port, comprises two cranes, two conveyors, 12 concrete silos with a storage capacity of 5,000 tonnes per silo with a total capacity of 60,000 tonnes. The project aims to fill the gap in supply and ensure the availability of cement and other cement materials in a sustainable manner for current and future projects as well as support the private sector and the 2022 World Cup projects.
