The Arabic Department of Ideal Indian School observed Arabic Day recently. Students of Arabic language in the Junior, Boys’ and Girls’ sections presented speeches, songs and skits to mark the Day.
Speaking on the occasion, Headmaster Vidhyasanker stressed on the need to imbibe the philosophical and ethical values found in a language. Headmistress Padma Ramaswamy urged the students to learn Arabic as it has a rich literature.
The Head of Department of Arabic, Abdul Hai, said the main objective of observing Arabic Day was to develop an atmosphere conducive to enhancing creativity and communication skills in Arabic.
Principal Sayed Shoukath Ali, Junior section headmistress Shobhna Menon and assistant headmistress Parveen Taj attended the programme.
