Assistant FM meets envoys at International Conference on Afghan Women’s Education

Bali: Assistant Foreign Minister H E Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia H E Retno Lestari Priansari Marsudi; Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan H E Bilawal Bhutto Zardari; and the US Special Envoy for Afghan Women, Girls, and Human Rights H E Rina Amiri, on the sidelines of the activities of the International Conference on Afghan Women’s Education, which was held in Bali, Indonesia. 

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral cooperation and relations and a number of issues of common interest. 

The Assistant Foreign Minister also met separately with Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to Afghanistan H E Tariq Ali Bakheet, and Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan H E Elnur Mammadov, on the sidelines of the International Conference on Afghan Women’s Education.

During the two meetings, they discussed bilateral cooperation and relations and a number of issues of common concern, especially education and health issues in Afghanistan. 

The Assistant Foreign Minister Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater also met with Australia’s Special Representative on Afghanistan H E Glenn Miles, and Canada’s Special Envoy for Afghanistan H E David Sproule, on the sidelines of the conference. 

During the meeting, a number of issues of common interest were discussed.
