Gaza: The death toll from the Israeli Aggression on Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 67,682, with 170,033 injured, the Ministry of Health in Gaza reported on Saturday.
Over the past 24 hours, hospitals in the Strip received 151 fatalities, of whom 116 bodies were recovered, along with 72 injured. Many victims remain trapped under rubble or in the streets, with rescue teams and civil defense crews unable to reach them.
The Ministry added that 320 additional fatalities have been included in the cumulative tally after verification by the judicial committee overseeing missing persons and notifications, covering the period from October 3 to 10.
Due to famine and malnutrition, 463 deaths were recorded, including 157 children. Since the IPC declaration of famine in Gaza, 185 deaths have been reported, including 42 children.
A ceasefire agreement between Hamas and the Israeli entity, reached in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, went into effect yesterday afternoon after the occupation's government ratified it.
The ceasefire includes the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from populated areas, and the return of displaced persons to northern Gaza, marking the first phase of the US initiative to end the war in the Strip.
