Ambassador of India to the State of Qatar, Dr. Deepak Mittal, honored Indian Teachers for their valuable contributions towards academic excellence, efforts in community building, social service, and environmental preservation, during the Embassy of India Teachers’ Felicitation Ceremony.

Ambassador deeply appreciated the dedication and devotion of the Indian teachers in Qatar while felicitating Mr. Rakesh Verma of Birla Public School, Ms. Jayanthi Rajagopalan of DPS Modern Indian School a Mr. Shakir Hussain of Shantiniketan Indian School.

He also advised all Indian schools to focus on the key aspects of the National Educational Policy that envisages how technology can be used as a tool for learning. He also urged the teachers to pursue this technology as a tool to deliver education at the doorsteps. Ambassador appreciated the quality of education services extended by the Indian schools and the expectation of opening more Indian schools and higher education institutions in Qatar.

He recalled Hon'ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi's words that “there can be no joy greater than reading and no friend greater than knowledge.” As such education should not only develop cognitive capacities, but also social, ethical, and emotional capacities and dispositions.
