Doha: Qatar Insurance Company (QIC), Qatar’s leading insurance powerhouse, is the national partner of Bayt Qatar and supporting 38 athletes across 10 sports that represent Team Qatar at Rio Olympics.
Bayt Qatar is Qatar Olympics Committee’s (QOC) Olympic hospitality house in the Brazilian capital.
The Olympic Games, which started on August 5, have witnessed Qatar’s biggest athlete delegation in its history, with world champions and reigning Olympic medallists aiming to make the nation proud.
As part of an agreement, QIC is providing travel insurance for Team Qatar, supporting QOC in its mission to create more Olympic heroes and raising awareness about participation in Olympic sports.
Khalifa Abdulla Turki Al Subaey, Group President and CEO, QIC, said, “QIC is proud to become the national partner for Team Qatar.
“QIC is focussed on being ranked among the top 50 insurers in the world. Partnering with QOC is a step towards realising our mission and representing Qatar as a hub that demonstrates the spirit of sportsmanship and goodwill on a global stage.
“We aim to utilise this partnership to promote athleticism, inspire Qatari sporting talent and make positive contributions that will not only benefit Qatar and the rest of the world but also help create a legacy for our future generations.” To demonstrate its commitment to sporting activities, QIC has a kiosk at Bayt Qatar. Also, its support for the inspiring #YallaQatar campaign can be viewed at QIC’s Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts under the hashtags #YallaQatar and #mustbeQICInsured.
